ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

Actively Hiring in 2023

We are seeking an Electronic Technician, preferably with 2 years of experience. In this position, you will assemble sonar and industrial ultrasonic products ranging from surface-mount PCB assemblies to systems-level panel and cabinet wiring. You will be part of a small, fast-paced, hands-on engineering team developing products for a broad variety of uses. In our small company environment, your technical talents and contributions will count.

This position reports to the Director of Electrical & Software Engineering and will work closely with Senior Technical Support, our CTO, and other Department Teams. We are at an exciting threshold in engineering, expanding product capabilities in measurement and communications, and expanding the team to make it happen.

Requirements:

• Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design
• Ability to interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and test procedures
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrated soldering ability with surface mount, thru hole, and panel mount components
• Utilize common test equipment, oscilloscopes, DMM, and signal generators
• Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Word & Excel

Responsibilities:

• Assemble engineering prototypes, including fine pitch surface mount PCBs
• Build panel and cabinet assemblies, wiring, and connector wiring
• Assemble breadboards using perf board with point-to-point wiring
• Build limited production runs
• Program microcontrollers for engineering and production
• Build and maintain production test electronics, fixtures, and test stations
• Perform prototype board bring-up, debug, and validation testing
• Perform production NCR repair
• Review engineering and production drawings and process sheets for accuracy and completeness
